]]>The concert presents music from Jewish and
Persian traditions, including examples of commonality between the two. It features local musicians/clergy including Shimon Walt (Cello), Diana Torbert (Piano), Saeed Foroughi (Santur, Setar, Flute), Rabbi Ari Isenberg (Hebrew Vocalist) and Ginoos Famili (Persian
Vocalist).
Presenter Saeed Foroughi has long wanted to present a concert showcasing the two musical cultures: “With many common roots, these cultures share a musical heritage. Also, I am looking forward to presenting two musical styles that Halifax audiences do not have much opportunity to hear in the beautiful acoustics of Paul O’Regan Hall,” said
Mr. Foroughi.
For information, please contact Saeed Foroughi at (902) 478-5252.
