An electronic coupon option is here! No hunting the coupon down in stores or inserts, no cutting it out, no filing or organizing it in your folder to take with you to the store, no printing coupons and no trading to get extra’s. Download Coupgon free from the App Store on your mobile phone. It sounds too good to be true doesn’t it, but it is here finally, can I say woo hoo!
Each week the stores that are currently participating come out with their offers, usually on Thursday. Then we simply watch the sales, and hopefully rebate offers to make it even sweeter.
You can view the offers on your phone prior to going to the store, or even view the offers from your computer at home when you are planning your shopping at www.coupgon.com, which I love doing.
Last week, there was a deal at Superstore with a Coupgon coupon, which also had a PC points store offer, a Checkout 51 rebate, as well as a Snapbygroupon rebate, wow. Four offers/deals on one product and it made that product totally free, and that product wasn’t even on sale. It was fabulous.
What deal you ask? Renee’s Salad Dressing. The non-sale price was $4.99, less 500 PC Plus Points (worth $0.50), a Coupgon electronic coupon of $1.50 taken off right at the cash register, a Check Out 51 $1.50 rebate, and a Snapbygroupon $1.50 rebate. After all rebates, coupons and PC points value it made this totally free.
What was even better is that in our family there are five of us that each have a Checkout 51 and Snapbygroupon account and the offer on Coupgon allowed their coupon to be used three times per phone. So my husband’s phone and my phone meant that we could do this the five times we needed to, although they had to be on separate receipts to claim the rebates.
The cashier was great when I explained why I wanted to do the purchases separately, and she was even excited to process the Coupgon for the first time.
I was glad that I used the Coupgon the first time during a quiet time in the store, being new there are always a few bugs to work out and it took the pressure off both myself and the cashier. Most of the coupons on Coupgon will allow multiple purchases per item, but it is a good idea to check that on the site before you get to the store.

Tips for Coupgon:
A) Pick a quiet time in the store the first few times you use the Coupgon electronic coupon. Here is a link to a short video https://vimeo.com/91742216
B) Definitely check the limits of coupons per item, they may vary and you don’t want to find that out at the cashier desk
C) Some stores such as Giant Tiger will allow you to price match a product which means if Giant Tiger has a Coupgon coupon on that product you get an even better deal
D) Always check the rebate sites such as Checkout 51, Snapbygroupon, Zweet as well to maximize your savings
E) You cannot use a paper coupon and the Coupgon coupon, you choose which one to use
F) There is no fee for these coupons or to download the app on your phone
